22TRA542 - Online Claims System

The Department of Education in conjunction with the Education Support Centres Ireland (ESCI) will be delivering online training on the Department’s Online Claims System (OLCS) to school users.

The training is aimed at school staff in the role of ‘Data Entry’ on the OLCS.

Training will be delivered via a Zoom Webinar Presentation followed by a Question and Answer Session and will be approximately an hour and a half duration. To accommodate the numbers involved the training will be delivered on a phased basis commencing in the latter half of September and running into early October.
 
The training for your Region 4 ( Kerry, Limerick, Cork & West Cork Primary Schools) will take place on 26th of September at 11am - 12.30pm
 
Registration is essential as only those registered will receive the link for the webinar.

Kerry Recreation & Sports Partnership (KRSP) and Badminton Ireland are running 'Shuttle Time'

Kerry Recreation & Sports Partnership (KRSP) and Badminton Ireland are running 'Shuttle Time' - a Badminton training course for Primary School Teachers and/or Special Needs Assistants. Open to all Primary Schools and Special Schools in Kerry. 

  • A Badminton Ireland Tutor will deliver the Shuttle Time Teacher Training Course on the day. 
  • Following the training, Teachers and SNAs will be provided with resource packs/lesson plans and badminton kit bags, thus supporting them to deliver the weekly Badminton lessons in the lead up to the Badminton Blitz event, which will take place in January/February 2023. The emphasis of the Blitz event will be on social participation in the sport.

This training day and badminton programme, which is valued at over €500 per schoolis heavily subsidised by Badminton Ireland and the Kerry Recreation and Sports Partnership.

The programme will cost each school just €50 to take part, which is payable upon online registration to the programme. 

The overall aim of the programme is to introduce school children of all ages and abilities to the sport of Badminton in a supportive, structured, social, and enjoyable environment.

In return for full commitment to the training and subsequent programme, each school will receive: 

  • Teacher Training (Shuttle Time Course Qualification/Certificate),
  • FREE Badminton Kitbags 
  • Coaching Resource Packs / Lesson Plans
  • FREE Entry to the inaugural Schools Social Badminton event which will take place in Jan/Feb 2023 (tbc)
