Maths Chats: My Maths Journal – FREE Introductory Webinar

You are invited to join an Introductory webinar to launch the Maths Chats Maths Journal.
This webinar will guide participants through the key features of the journal;
➡️ Introductory page for parents, explaining the use of journals.
➡️ Ideas for parents about how they can support their child with maths at home.
➡️ Overview of the strands of the Primary Maths Curriculum for pupils and parents
➡️ My Thoughts about Maths record sheet - capturing Pupil Voice at the beginning and end of the school year
➡️ Maths Journal Prompt words/phrases for pupils
➡️ Vocabulary record for new Maths language acquired during the year
➡️ Colourful journal entry pages with space for prompts and teacher/parent comment
The author, Michelle Culloty will outline how she envisaged these can be used in the Primary Classroom as a powerful assessment tool, encouraging pupils to make their mathematical thinking visible. She will also outline additional teacher supports which are currently being developed to support the use of the Maths Journal in the Primary Classroom
