Target Audience: Mainstream Primary Teachers & SNAs who will be involved in the 2025 SEN Summer Programme

This is not an information session for the Deis Literacy & Numeracy Summer Camps. Further details in relation to these camps can be found by contacting Navan/Dublin West Education Support Centres.

Through engaging in this webinar, participants will:

  • Gain an understanding of the School-Based Summer Programme requirements as set out by the Department of Education in the Terms & Conditions document (e.g. the theme, length of school day, EPV days etc.)
  • Explore a sample timetable and begin to think about formulating their own.
  • Explore sample activities that could be completed during the programme such as sensory play, art, social skills etc.
  • Discuss sensory regulation strategies to best support the children engaging in the programme.

Bio of Presenter: Aisling Harte

This webinar is facilitated by Aisling Harte. Aisling is in her 3rd year as an Autism Class Teacher and has engaged in the Summer Programme, both school-based and home-based, since 2019. Aisling has also previously worked as a Department of Education funded Home Tutor. Aisling has completed Postgraduate Studies in Autism, through Mary Immaculate College, and is delighted to share some of her experiences and knowledge through this hour-long webinar.
