Session 2 - Supporting Non/Minimally Speaking Students (AAC)
In this workshop, Amy will discuss using a Total Communication approach to support your students in using Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) systems. With many students presenting with a need for AAC support, Amy will discuss how you can learn more about AAC, who it is suitable for and how to get started in the classroom, including free classroom resources. Amy will explain all forms of AAC, from Lámh to high tech AAC systems such as iPads and TD Snap. Learn practical Neurodiversity Affirming strategies and gain confidence to support all AAC users.

** BONUS: Amy will be hosting a practical face to face workshop in Tralee in April where you can explore the devices and resources hands-on and meet other educators in a fun and relaxed environment.
