The initial meeting of the DEIS Primary Community of Practice will take place in Tralee Education Support Centre on Wednesday, 22nd November 2023 from 1 - 3 pm. This was the most preferred time on the recent survey sent to all DEIS Schools. We believe that this Community of Practice will be of great value to you and your students.

The DEIS Community of Practice is a network of schools that share a common goal of improving educational outcomes for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Through this community, schools can work together to share best practices, collaborate on projects and access professional development opportunities.

Tralee Education Support Centre is proud to support this initiative and will, insofar as is practicable, provide ongoing support to the schools involved in the community. We believe that by working together, we can make a real difference in the lives of students who may face additional barriers to their education.

We would like to invite you to join this Community of Practice and participate in the exciting work that is happening in the area of DEIS education. This community of practice will be facilitated by former Principal Moira Quinlan who worked in a DEIS School for many years.
