23TRA201 Full STEAM Ahead - A Webinar for Teachers on STEAM in the Primary School Classroom
Date: Tuesday 25 April 2023
Time: 7 - 8 pm
Venue: Online via Zoom
To flourish in today’s world, young people need to develop the capacity to collaborate and innovate. They need to become critical thinkers and also develop the perseverance to explore and devise solutions to real-world issues and problems.
Rather than viewing STEM or STEAM as an add-on to a jam-packed timetable, STEAM teaching and learning approaches offer a way to enrich learning in existing subjects and support learners to develop their knowledge, skills and dispositions in a meaningful way.
The good news: You are probably already using STEAM approaches in your classroom and may not even realise!
Whether you are an accomplished STEAM practitioner, or just beginning your STEAM journey, this webinar series aims to support you to move ‘full STEAM ahead’, by offering practical ideas to meaningfully infuse STEAM approaches across the curriculum. During the sessions, we will reflect on the benefits of STEAM approaches through exploring tasks which aim to maximise pupil learning with minimal equipment.
