The Ciorca Comhrá is facilitated by Alan and Gemma. Both Gemma and Alan are qualified Primary School Teachers that have a love for Gaeilge.
- This is a safe space where Primary School Teachers/ Student Teachers can practise their Gaeilge.
- No particular level of Gaeilge is necessary to take part in the Ciorcal Comhrá.
- The Ciorcal Comhrá lasts an hour and is facilitated online.

Bio of Presenters: Alan Grace, BA, PMEd and Gemma Gately, BA, M. Ed.

Alan Grace, BA, PMEd

Alan Grace is a qualified primary school teacher based in Co. Galway. He has worked as a mainstream class teacher, special education teacher and a substitute teacher in DEIS schools, Educate Together schools and Gaelscoileanna.

Alan completed his Bachelor of Arts undergraduate degree in the National University of Ireland, Galway, studying English and Gaeilge to degree level. He then completed the Professional Masters of Education (Primary) in Froebel College of Primary and Early Childhood Education, Maynooth University.

Alan has a passion for Gaeilge and works with other teachers and schools in promoting the language. He enjoys incorporating mindfulness and wellbeing into his teaching practice.

Alan created the Instagram page @thefoureyedteacher in 2021 and has used it to share his teaching ideas and advice to teachers and student teachers.

Gemma Gately, BA, M. Ed.

Gemma Gately is a qualified Primary School Teacher in a DEIS Band 1 Gaelscoil in Dublin City. She has experience teaching in rural, urban, DEIS, Gaelscoil and Gaeltacht schools.

She completed her undergraduate Degree (Bachelor of International Studies) at National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG) studying Gaeilge (Irish) and French through Irish. As part of her degree, she spent a year living in France on an Erasmus year.
