An understanding of the sounds of the English language is crucial for teachers in order to teach young children how to read in the most efficient way possible. 

In this webinar, we will look at the knowledge and tools required by teachers in order to deliver effective phonics instruction for beginning readers.  We will explore the consonant and vowel sounds of English and how they are spelled.
