22TRA189 Workshop 2 "Tasty Tomato" for 3rd to 6th Class students
Date: Thursday, 3rd March
Time: 10 am - 11 am
Venue: Online via Zoom
This workshop is aimed at 3rd to 6th Class students and 45-60 minutes in duration.
With the arrival of spring and the season of new growth, this workshop is going to discuss the Tasty Tomato. We will discuss its seeds, germination and plant growth, and we will make a delicious ‘no-cook’ recipe with tomato as the main ingredient. The recipe will also be linked back into the Food pyramid.
This is a simple ‘cook along’ recipe with only a few ingredients. Cooking along is not essential and you can choose a level of engagement that is suitable for your class. Recipe does not require weighing scales or specialised equipment. Details on what is required in terms of ingredients and equipment will be sent with your classroom resource pack after registration.
