Covering the "Myself" strand of the SPHE programme and cross curricular skills, this series of cookery workshops introduces students to basic cookery skills, integrating nutritional information, exploring the food pyramid and the benefits of healthy eating on health & wellbeing.
The series presents three simple recipes which can be prepared in school using basic equipment or in the home as a home-based challenge. The level of engagement can suit the schools facilities: the workshops can be used for:
1. Demonstration only, students only watch.
2. Demonstration and Preparation – students watch and prepare and complete the recipe at home.
3. Demonstration, Preparation and Cook Along – participants watch, prepare and complete cooking.
