Exhibiting your 'Best Self' in your job application and new role is packed with practical advice and an authentic insight into the job application process for teachers. This one-hour webinar aims to provide useful tips and tools to help teachers create a unique and powerful teaching application by harnessing personal strengths and values. A portion of this webinar will also provide insight into how to get into the right frame of mind for interviews and how to prepare for them. It will conclude with evidence-based self-care strategies for starting in a new role. All information in this webinar is informed by approaches adapted from positive psychology, coaching psychology and teaching experience. 

Bio of Presenter: Aisling O' Donovan

This webinar is presented by Aisling O’Donovan. As a graduate of Mary Immaculate college, Aisling went on to work in a variety of settings including rural, DEIS and senior schools. Having seen the challenges that teachers face in schools, Aisling aspired to learn more about ways teachers can ensure they are their ‘best self’ in their role so she decided to further her education by completing a Masters in Positive and Coaching psychology in University College Cork. She recently set up ‘The Áthas Academy’ - an online community for her coaching and positive psychology practice which endeavours to encourage staff and student wellbeing. To date, Aisling has completed a range of webinars in this area. Aisling is currently working as a Special Education Teacher and is an Assistant Principal in her school. She has seen first hand how approaches from positive psychology have benefited her in applying for various school roles and also how approaches from positive psychology have been an asset to her school community.
