21TRA341 Making Sense of the OT Assessment Process
Teachers play a key role in the Occupational Therapy assessment process as vital information sources. They are also often the implementers of many of the recommendations. Despite this, navigating the assessment process and interpreting reports can be a challenge.
This workshop aims to demystify the assessment process and help attendees to make sense of OT reports.
The workshop will include:
- Practical demonstration of common assessment tools and a talk through of common assessment processes.
- Examples of reports and recommendations with explanations.
- A format for observing a child in the classroom and guidelines for relevant information needed by OT.
This workshop is relevant to all teachers who work with children who are being assessed or who already have a report.
