Target Audience : Post Primary SETs

Over this two-part webinar, participants will:
• Gain an overview of the Special Education Teacher (SET) model at post primary level, including key structures, roles, and collaborative practices.
• Develop a clear understanding of Student Support Planning, from identification and target setting to review and implementation.
• Learn effective data-gathering methods to inform teaching, monitor progress, and support evidence-based decision-making

Bio of presenter :

Dee Keane is an experienced Post-Primary Special Education Teacher who began her teaching career in 2010. She holds a Master’s in Professional Studies in Special Educational Needs (2016) and is a current PDSL student. Dee is a qualified TEFL teacher and Adult Literacy Tutor and has completed specialist training with both Dyslexia Ireland and Dyslexia Matters Ireland, deepening her expertise in supporting students with specific learning difficulties.
She is highly skilled in implementing a wide range of evidence-based intervention programmes, including Alert, Check and Connect, Friends for Life, Why Try, Berry Street Education Model, Nurture, Vocabulary Enrichment Programme, Catch Up Literacy, Zones of Regulation, Getting it Together, and Mindfulness Interventions.
Dee is passionate about inclusion and empowering teachers to create learning environments where every student can thrive.
