Target Audience: Post Primary Teachers & SNAs taking part in the 2025 SEN Summer Programme

This is not an information session for the Deis Literacy & Numeracy Summer Camps. Further details in relation to these camps can be found by contacting Navan/Dublin West Education Support Centres.

This webinar will provide school leaders and educators with a step-by-step guide on successfully organising and running a Summer Programme.

Drawing on practical experience, it will cover key aspects such as:

• Structuring the programme around a theme to enhance engagement
• Effectively incorporating student voice in the planning process
• Recruiting the right teachers, including practical subject teachers for variety
• Communicating with parents and staff for smooth operation
• Adapting and modifying activities to meet students' needs

By the end of the session, participants will have a clear roadmap for designing a programme that builds student confidence, fosters relationships, and supports successful transitions.

Bio of Presenter: Annmarie Bergin

Annmarie Bergin is the Deputy Principal of Scoil Ruáin, with extensive experience in organizing and leading the Summer Programme. She also works as a part-time facilitator for Oide, supporting professional development in education.
