22TRA382 Using Graphic Organisers in the Geography Classroom
Date: Tuesday, 11th October 2022
Time: 7.00pm - 8.00pm
Venue: Online via Zoom
Without organisation, knowledge is a mere list of discrete facts. But by organising them through forging connections we create meaning. Students encounter new information every day in the geography classroom, however students cannot organise unfamiliar content. It is critical we explicitly teach them & show them how to organise it.
This webinar will cover how to practically implement graphic organisers and their role in geography classrooms. The webinar will highlight the 4 types of graphic organisers and describe how to select the right type of graphic organiser for the content we are teaching. There will be 60+ shared examples & templates of graphic organisers being used to organise information in the geography classroom.
