Come and hear about some assessment ideas for science, and use them in your science classroom tomorrow!
In this webinar, you will be presented with a variety of assessment techniques, most of which can be used in both Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate Science classes. From digital forms of assessment, to games that test students’ knowledge, to the more focused types of assessment that students look for in the lead up to exams, this webinar will equip you with some strategies for engaging students as you assess their scientific knowledge.
Bio of Presenter: Dr. Lisa Shine

Dr. Lisa Shine is a Biology and Chemistry teacher. She is currently teaching at Dominican College Muckross Park in Dublin, and has previously taught at St. David’s Secondary School in Greystones and Scoil Mhuire Cork. Her initial degree was in Pharmacology, and she also holds a PhD in Genetics from University College Dublin. Last year, she launched her own website (www.shineatscience.com) to share assessment materials, that she has designed, with other science teachers.
