In this French webinar, Valérie David-McGonnell, Dominique Sénard and Mary Haslam from the AIPLF will be presenting ideas and resources for the Transition Year.
The AIPLF, Association Irlandaise des Professeurs de Langue Française, was founded in May 2021. The AIPLF gathers and supports teachers of French in Ireland by organising meetings, CPD courses and school competitions and by sharing teaching resources.
Bio of Presenters:
Valerie David-McGonnell

Valérie is from the North of France and has been teaching French in Ireland since 1998. She is a post-primary teacher with experience teaching French at university level, and she has also been teaching adults in continuing education.
She is the author of the French Oral Vocabulary and Practice Book for the Leaving Certificate (CJ Fallon, 2017), and the creator of the Francophonie Poster Competition in Ireland which she has been organizing since 2017.
Dominique Senard

Dominique is originally from Perpignan and has been a post-primary teacher in Ireland since 2000. She has also taught in England before moving to Ireland.
She is the author of the schoolbook À l’Attaque ! for the Leaving Certificate HL (Gill, 2010, 2019, 2nd ed.).
Mary Haslam

Originally from Limerick, Mary is a post-primary teacher of French and Spanish and has previously taught French at university level in Ireland and the United States.
She is a fluent Irish speaker and she is passionate about Quebec where she lived for two years.
