22TRA006 Developing Key Skills in Junior Cycle History

The Framework for Junior Cycle requires students to develop eight key skills: Communication; Working with others; Being creative; Being numerate; Managing information and thinking; Staying well; Managing myself; Being literate. This presentation will suggest strategies for activating these key skills. There will be a particular focus on the key skill of being literate. The examples given, and resources shared, will be aimed at history teachers.
Bio of Presenter: Christian O' Connor

Christian O' Connor is a history teacher at St. Mary's Secondary School, Mallow. He is a regular presenter for the Cork History Teachers' Association.
