In this webinar you will:

  • Understand the practicalities of running the 2026 Summer Programme.
  • Identify good practice and the most up to date information to ensure the smooth running of the programme.
  • Gain an insight into the roles of the Manager, Organiser, Teacher and SNA within the programme.
  • Build your confidence to plan and devise suitable timetables with appropriate activities for the students.
  • Explore the expectations of a possible Department Of Education inspection of the Summer Programme and understand exactly what it entails.

Bio of Presenter: Alice Irish

Alice is a highly experienced Primary School Teacher with over fourteen years' experience. She has a particular interest in Special Education. Alice set up the new class for students with autism in her school and taught in this setting for a number of years. She has co-hosted whole-school staff CPD courses on Autism. Alice has tutored at University level and has recently completed a School Leadership Course. Outside of the classroom, Alice has a huge interest in sport and has coached the school camogie team to two county final wins in recent years. She was awarded the prestigious Active School Flag for her school after organising whole-school sports activities. Alice has managed the Summer Programme in her school for a number of years and offers a wealth of knowledge that will clearly guide you through the practicalities of running the 2026 Summer Programme.
