Some autistic children are Gestalt Language Processors (GLPs), meaning they learn language differently to how we may have understood in the past. Using a neuroaffirmative lens, we’ll explore echolalia, how language develops for GLPs, and how adults can model language in ways that support communication. The session will focus on practical, classroom-friendly strategies you can use.
