26TRA539 - PDF to Practice: ESD for Teachers (Post Primary)

26TRA539 - PDF to Practice: ESD for Teachers (Post Primary)

DATE : Thursday, 5th November 2026
TIME : 7.00pm - 8.00pm
VENUE : Online via Zoom

Target Audience : Post Primary Teachers

Sustainability is written into the majority of specifications at Post-Primary. Although the pipes have been plumbed, as teachers and departments, we can find it difficult to turn on the taps. The gap isn't content, it's coherence, confidence, and classroom application.

This free, CPD-certified webinar gives post primary teachers an opportunity to look at sustainability from a subject and interdisciplinary perspective.

Grounded in ‘ESD to 2030’, and built upon the research of Stephen Sterling and other ESD researchers, this webinar will provide opportunities to evaluate your subject curriculum, consider classroom systems thinking pedagogy, and develop practical approaches that are immediately applicable.

By the end of this webinar, you will:
● Evaluate your current ESD practice using the ESD 1/ESD 2 framework
● Map ESD concretely across your subject specification
● Explore systems thinking as a classroom tool
● Consider ways to move beyond ‘sustainability’ as a bolt-on to your subject
● Explore ways to integrate ‘sustainability’ across subject areas, from within your own classroom and inter-department collaboration.
