Target Audience: Post Primary Teachers

This session explores how to use short films as a way to explore the reaching of film language at LCA and TY. Three stimulating short films will be discussed along with the film language opportunities they present. Also discussed will be connections to related texts for LCA, as well as more substantial comparative opportunities for TY.

Presenter: Mikey Meally

Mikey Meally teaches English in St Mary's Secondary School, Nenagh and has taught LCA English and Communication for the past 7 years. He taught A-Level Film Studies in England and has co-authored a number of academic guides on poetry, drama and essay writing. He is currently chairperson of INOTE.
