Target Audience: Primary Special Education Teachers
" Planning and Organisation as a Special Education Teacher" is presented as two one hour-long information webinars. These webinars aim to support all Special Education Teachers (SET), at any stage of their career. Whether you are just embarking on your journey as a SET or you are well established in this role, this webinar will support your planning and organisation as an SET.
This webinar aims to give you a clear understanding of the role of the Continuum of Support using the student support file. Following this webinar you will be confident in relation to both short term planning (weeklies/cuntas míosúil) as well as long term planning (School support plans/IEPs). Sample templates to use for your short term planning will be provided (in word document to allow ease of editing).
A wide range of organisational techniques and resources will also be discussed, including timetabling, working with parents, storing paperwork and referrals to outside agencies. Specific case studies will be discussed to support you with implementing your new knowledge in practice.
