Course Overview:
This interactive five-day course empowers educators to build supportive, inclusive environments that promote positive student behaviour and wellbeing. Drawing on national frameworks such as Understanding and Managing Behaviour, NCSE Relate, and TESS Code of Behaviour, participants will explore the foundations of behavioural support, responsive practice, environmental strategies, crisis prevention, and practical action planning.

The course blends live sessions, group discussions, case studies, reflection activities, and independent tasks to support a dynamic and flexible learning experience.

Key Learning Outcomes:

Participants will:

• Understand key policy documents and legal frameworks guiding behaviour support.
• Apply proactive strategies that promote regulation and wellbeing for students and staff.
• Analyse and adapt learning environments to reduce stressors and enhance inclusion.
• Plan for prevention, safe response, and recovery in crisis situations.
• Integrate student and parent voice into support planning.
• Develop practical plans to embed learning into daily school practice.

Format:

• Synchronous: Daily live online sessions (9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.), interactive workshops, group reflections.
• Asynchronous: Independent audits, planning tools, personal reflection records, and resource exploration.

Certification:
Participants who complete the course will receive a Summer Course Certificate accredited by NCSE and Department of Education.
