Cost: €10 - (**Please note the charge for this course is to cover Education Centre Administration Fees)

 

Prepare to bring the Primary Language Curriculum to life in your classroom for English and Gaeilge. This face to face summer course, facilitated by the PDST, will highlight practical, playful and engaging learning experiences to develop the learning outcomes of the PLC and how these are reflected in the new Primary Curriculum Framework. Beidh cothromaíocht le linn na seachtaine idir mhúineadh an Bhéarla agus múineadh na Gaeilge.

Along with an exploration of each of the strands of the Primary Language Curriculum/Curaclam Teanga na Bunscoile, this practical course will explore: links between the PLC and the Primary Curriculum Framework, Preparation for Teaching and Learning Guidance document, Assessment, Linguistic Diversity, Digital Literacy, An Cur Chuige Cumarsáideach, Transfer of Skills, and Cross Curricular Learning opportunities. Summer Course Booking Policy

Our summer courses are booked on the condition that the course fee is non-refundable.
Unfortunately, if you wish to cancel your place on one of our courses or are unable to attend the course, we are not in a position to refund fees.

Tralee Education Support Centre reserves the right to cancel a Summer Course where there are not sufficient numbers to run the course.
In the event of the Centre having to cancel your course, you will be offered an alternative course or offered a full refund.

In line with DES Circular 0037/1997, participants attending Summer Courses accrue entitlements as follows:

• Full Attendance (20 Hours): 3 EPV Days
• 4 Days Attendance (16 Hours): 2 EPV Days
• No EPV will be awarded for less than 4 days attendance
