The Behaviours of Concern course reflects on the recent guidance documents from the Department of Education and National Council for Special Education (NCSE) We review the types of behaviours that staff engage with providing relevant and child specific strategies to deflect, distract or prevent the behaviour. We also need to understand all behaviours is a means of communicating or is an unmet and that all children are different and unique.

We focus on best practice, recent guidance to ensure you can meet the requirements place on staff to assist and heighten the child’s/student’s capacity to function while also ensuring we meet our safeguarding requirements.
