In this webinar the Department of Education Summer Programme Team will provide a summary of the key points of the Overview Document for the 2025 Summer Programme. In the second half of this webinar, the Department of Education Inspectorate will provide information on the key points from the Department of Education’s Guidance document on the Summer Programme 2025. They will address the context of mainstream Primary schools offering the programme.
A key component of the webinar will involve sharing good practice from previous summer programmes, which will also include feedback from young people, parents and summer programme managers. The webinar will also provide an opportunity to look at lessons learnt from Summer Programme 2024. Information on how to involve young people in the planning of the summer programme, how to engage with parents and how to report progress and achievement to parents and to the school will be shared.
A team from the Department of Education will answer questions in the background through the Q&A function. Some of these questions may be addressed orally at the end of the webinar time permitting.
