Target Audience: Primary Teachers

This series of webinars will cover the following topics:

Session 1: Thursday 17th October

  • Discuss how to structure a series of music lessons.
  • Discoverwarm up games to use in the classroom.
  • Teachers will be provided with slides with ideas to teach that they can use in their classroom. They will be encouraged to teach at least one lesson before the next session.

Session 2: Thursday 14th November 

  • Learn and demonstratenew musical warm-up activities.
  • Understand and recite ways to teach pitch and dynamics in the classroom.
  • Discuss classroom management when teaching music.

Session 3: Thursday 12th December

  • Introduce three engaging musical warm-ups.
  • Understand some new teaching methods for teaching tempo, structure and texture.
  • Examine resources for teaching music in the classroom.
  • Explore ways to incorporate popular music into lessons.
  • Integrate various subjects with music.
