Date:     Tuesday 3rd October 2023
Time:     7 pm - 8 pm
Venue:  Online via Zoom

Target Audience: SEN Teachers, EAL Teachers and SNAs in Primary, Post Primary and Further Education

Understanding effective writing process allows students at all stages of the education system not only to produce better work but also to appreciate the ongoing nature of their development as a writer.  A wide range of digital tools is now available to support writers.  These can be transformative for students with specific learning needs but can also greatly benefit writers of all stages and abilities.  To get the full benefit of these tools, however, students need to know how and when to use them, what they can do and what they cannot do and how they can be integrated into an effective writing process.

This workshop will give an overview of advice given to students at MTU on digitally supported writing process and provide a space for discussion on how this can be taught at second level and in Further Education.
