The right digital tools for the right student can be transformative to their educational experience and attainment. However, although technology has advanced greatly, there are many challenges to integrating software and apps in the classroom environment: student resistance, classroom management and technical issues to name but a few. This participative session will enable teachers and SNAs to share their experiences of using technology to support student learning – what has worked well, what remains challenging and possible ways of easing these difficulties to maximise the benefit of ‘assistive’ technology. Findings from this session may be used to develop further initiatives or inform future research.
