Date:        Wednesday, 16th March
Time:        12.30 pm - 1.15 pm
Venue:     Online via Zoom

St Patrick’s Day Celebration – The Humble Potato.
This in-class live streamed workshop is aimed at Junior Infants to 6th Class students and 30-45 minutes in duration.

Although St Patrick significantly pre-dates the introduction of the potato to Ireland, there is no other food item that is so commonly associated with our country. While we will discuss the types of food St. Patrick ate in his time, the history of the potato and have a demonstration of a recipe with the potato having the starring role.
Instead of cooking along with this recipe, the children will be encouraged to do some food art and create their own emoji potato heads or potato people. Recommendations on what is required in terms of materials will be sent with your classroom resource pack after registration.
