Target Audience : All mainstream and SET Secondary school teachers supporting students with Dyslexia in the secondary school setting

Participants will:

• Examine co-operative group work as an inclusive teaching strategy to support students with dyslexia in the mainstream setting.
• Explore a whole school approach to supporting students with dyslexia in the secondary setting.
• Appreciate approaches that are utilized in a Dyslexia Friendly School.

Bio of Presenter: Genevieve Maher

Genevieve Maher is a secondary teacher with a special interest in dyslexia. She has recently completed an MEd. In Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia). Her teaching experience includes teaching mainstream classes of history and RE, SEN classes and Year Head role in a large secondary school.
