In a 2019 study undertaken by UCD and Jigsaw, 49% of young people aged 12-19 reported experiencing levels of anxiety that were outside of the normal clinical range. The long-term impact of the pandemic on mental health is not yet clear, however the WHO data suggests a 25% global increase in the prevalence of anxiety and depression.
This webinar aims to support teachers to recognise and manage anxiety in the classroom. At the end of the session participants will:
Bio of Presenter: Jen Trzeciak

Jen Trzeciak is a registered mental health Occupational Therapist. For over 20 years Jen has worked in the NHS, private and third sector organisations, providing individual mental health therapeutic interventions and mental health awareness workshops and training. Jen set up Way Ahead Therapy in 2021 to offer flexible support and training options to meet the needs of individuals and organisations. Jen works on a one to one basis with teenagers and adults with mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, stress and low confidence. She also delivers training on mental health in schools and community organisations.
