25TRA079 Playfulness Across the School
Dates: Monday 26th February 2025
Time: 7 - 8 pm
Venue: Online via zoom
Target Audience: Primary Teachers
Play can help all children to access the curriculum by providing opportunities for learning, social interaction, creativity and enjoyment through, as the new curriculum states, playful and engaging activities. Play should be included every day, in all classrooms, for all children. Playfulness across the school fosters a vibrant learning environment where creativity, curiosity and collaboration thrive. It encourages children to engage more deeply with lessons, explore new ideas and connect with their peers in meaningful ways. By integrating playful activities into the classroom and school culture - whether through games, hands-on projects or interactive learning - teachers can cultivate a sense of joy and wonder. This approach not only makes learning fun but also enhances problem-solving, resilience and emotional well-being, creating a more dynamic and inclusive school experience for everyone.
