Target Audience: Primary Special Needs Assistants

This lecture covers St. Patrick’s Day and Easter vocabulary.

It is a refresher for those who have Irish but who may not have used it in a while, and as an introduction to oral Irish for non-Irish speakers.

The emphasis is not on grammar or written Irish. The course is based on oral Irish used in a primary school or primary Gaelscoil setting.

Terry Kerins is a qualified Special Needs Assistant.

She grew up just outside Gaeltacht area in Co. Cork. After taking up her first SNA post in a primary Gaelscoil, she realised there was a real concern amongst other SNAs about the Irish language used and taught in primary schools.

Terry is also a qualified Pharmacist and has a Prof. Dip in Understanding Neurodiversity from University College Dublin.

Terry works as an SNA in Cork city and runs training courses.
