An overview of co-regulation from a neuroscientific and developmental viewpoint will be given providing participants with an understanding of the importance of regulation and how dysregulation may present.
The key elements of effective communication will be outlined. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of the 'relationship' for both co- regulation and communication. The link between regulation and co-operation will be detailed and practical examples given.
An abundance of co-regulation tools will be outlined for a wide rage of ages- from junior infants to second level.
Participants will learn how to enhance communication and co-operation through co-regulation while maintaining firm boundaries
Opportunity for questions and answers will be provided.
Finally, a list of further resources will be given.
