Target Audience: These webinars are ideally suited to those who are feeling overwhelmed by the complexity of difficulties presented by struggling readers, especially those working in Learning Support, at Primary School Level. Webinar 1 - How to Plan an Intervention for a Struggling Reader/Group of Struggling Readers Working Towards a Goal of Reading Fluency
In this webinar, Caitríona will look at what being a ‘skilled reader’ means and help you to identify where the breakdown might have occurred for those who are struggling.

She will also guide you through some straightforward ways of assessing where these gaps may be and suggest practical ways in which you can begin working on bridging these gaps.

Caitríona Soraghan

Caitríona Soraghan is a primary school teacher, who has fourteen years teaching experience in a Gaelscoil at all class levels, including seven years in the area of Additional Educational Needs. Caitríona has completed a Masters in SpLD/Dyslexia qualifying as a Dyslexia Specialist and is a member of DySI (Dyslexia Specialists Ireland). She is passionate about changing the path for those with literacy difficulties by empowering them, their parents and their teachers.
