This webinar will be presented by DySI Dyslexia Specialists Ireland (DySI) to provide a broad overview of dyslexia; key areas to be addressed: what dyslexia is, indicators and technical terms around dyslexia, the social and emotional effects of dyslexia, practical strategies and appropriate interventions to support children with dyslexia.
Following on from a general introductory webinar by DySI providing an overview on Dyslexia, individual members of DySI will run a suite of topic specific webinars on dyslexia, Please see outline of webinars below. DySI Dyslexia Specialists Ireland (DySI) brings together as a collective members of the teaching community - practising and experienced primary, secondary and further education teachers - with particular expertise and qualifications in the area of literacy difficulties. All members of DySI hold a Level 9 Masters, or above, in Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia).
The primary objective of the organisation is to work with parents, students, teachers, SNAs and all parties interested in supporting individuals with SpLD/Dyslexia.
