Target Audience: This webinar is aimed at student teachers, NQT's, and teachers who need some ideas and help when it comes to preparing for practical classes.

This is part of a series of workshops aimed at helping teachers prepare and perform chemistry experiments as part of the junior cycle science curriculum.

• Participants will take away a booklet, outlining tips and tricks to guide them through practical classes.
• A variety of experiments and practical activities from the chemical world will be discussed with an opportunity for participants to ask questions at the end.

Bio of Presenter: Naomi Pierce

Naomi is a teacher of science, biology and chemistry in Avondale Community College in Co. Wicklow. She has been a placement tutor for DCU and has just completed a Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning in SETU. Naomi has experience teaching in both a private and DEIS school setting. She is the owner of the Instagram account @the_science_teacher_ and website www.thescienceteacher.ie where she shares an insight into her everyday teaching and learning, showcasing resources that she uses from other accounts and websites as well as content that she has created herself.

She prides herself on promoting practical resources and delivering CPD opportunities that are directly applicable to the classroom.
