24TRA368 Restorative Practice Circles - What, How and Why?
DATE: Wednesday, 2nd October 2024
TIME: 7pm to 8pm
VENUE: Online via Zoom
Target Audience: Primary & Post Primary Teachers, Early Years Educators and Special Needs Assistants
Are you missing out on the hidden gem of Restorative Practices, i.e. circles? Most people are delighted to use the RP questions and language but are slighted (or more than slightly) freaked out when it comes to circles. Discover the “why”” behind circles, the variety that exists, the speed they can be done with and hear stories of where they’ve made a difference in the lives of staff and students from Paige and Joe.
Speakers - Joe Power & Paige Franklin
Joe Power is an independent RP trainer/facilitator and a Quality Specialist with CDI Tallaght. He was previously Development Officer for Limerick and has worked with dozens of schools, both primary and secondary from one off Croke Park sessions to whole school implementation. He also employs the values and skills of RP in his own life.
Paige Franklin is an SNA in St. Patrick's Comprehensive School, Shannon and RP trainer. She has trained dozens of staff in her school, as well as being the RP coordinator for ongoing development.
