TIME:       7.00PM - 8.00PM
VENUE:   ONLINE VIA ZOOM

TARGET AUDIENCE: POST PRIMARY & PRIMARY MATHS TEACHERS

Katie will introduce teachers to the free widely available website www.thatquiz.org and demonstrate use of this tool for students. This has uses across a huge range of topics and is applicable for primary/L2LP all the way up to Leaving certificate.

This can be incorporated into the low tech or high-tech classroom with ease. She uses it in the classroom and also as a homework device. It allows for students to access material at a level they are comfortable with and build on that to ensure all learners are challenged.

Learning outcomes:

  • Understand how to use the website to differentiate material appropriately for students of varied ability.
  • Have awareness of differentiation tools available without adding to the teacher's own workload and how to incorporate it into lessons in the high-tech class and also the low-tech classroom.
  • Equip teachers with tools to challenge learners of all levels without changing activity and with learners not being aware of the differences between them.
