An introduction to the Forest School ethos, discover effective ways to bring learning outdoors in any setting. Learn how we can lead outdoor learning sessions guided by the seasons and the affordances nature provides.
Participants will look at some simple outdoor lesson plans using readily available resources to achieve curriculum goals through real life experiences.

Presenter: Ciara Hinksman
Ciara Hinksman is the founder of Forest School Ireland through which she delivers Forest School Leadership training, CPD’s, long-term Forest School programmes and is a Heritage in Schools specialist.
In 2008 she lived off-grid for three months in Co. Kerry immersed in bushcraft skills, wildlife tracking, nature awareness and sustainable living practices. She then travelled extensively in the UK and USA to learn from nature connection mentors, powerful youths, and Elders.
