‘Self-care is not selfish; you cannot pour from an empty cup.’ – Eleanor Brownn

Working as an SNA or as an Early Learning and Childcare Practitioner is both rewarding and challenging, so it is vital to prioritise self-care and well-being on a daily basis in order to face these unique challenges.

This webinar will offer participants the opportunity to reflect on their own well-being and self-care, whilst exploring practical ideas from the field of Positive Psychology, which is the
science of well-being. Many of the ideas can also be adapted for use with students also, in order to nurture their well-being too.

Topics will include:

  • Well-Being & Self-Care: What and Why?
  • Overview of Positive Psychology - the Science of Well-Being
  • Specific challenges of the SNA and Early Learning & Childcare Practitioner role – research & shared experiences
  • Ideas for practical use on a personal level
