24TRA178 Building a Restorative Practices School
Date: Monday, 22nd April 2024
Time: 7 - 8 pm
Venue: Online via Zoom
At some point nearly everyone who does an RP course comes to the realisation “everyone else needs to be doing this as well”. This desire for a whole school to become restorative can be tricky however (by the way you can never really say you are fully restorative, as changing staff and students make it a never-ending, but seriously rewarding, journey). This webinar will take you through 5 key tips to make everyone’s life a lot easier, as well as hearing from one teacher who has undertaken this very journey with her school.
Speakers - Joe Power & Aine O’Brien
Joe Power is an independent RP trainer/facilitator and a Quality Specialist with CDI Tallaght. He was previously Development Officer for Limerick and has worked with dozens of schools, both primary and secondary from one off Croke Park sessions to whole school implementation. He also employs the values and skills of RP in his own life.
Aine O’Brien is a primary school SEN teacher in Kilrush, and RP trainer. She has taught RP within her school, and applies the principles and practices both at work and in her busy home life.
